About Mary Frances
Hi! I am Mary Frances Way, an artist based out of Tennessee and Alabama that creates paintings and more that celebrate meaningful moments, music, and the people (and animals) we love most.
Art has always been my way of storytelling. Whether I’m live painting at a wedding as it unfolds or creating something custom in the studio, my goal is always the same: to preserve feeling. I want my work to feel lived in, emotional, and timeless- something that brings you right back to the moment everytime you see it.
I have been painting since I was just 14 so about 6 years! I am continually refining my style and deepening my love for expressive, story driven work. I am especially drawn to scenes filled with connection, quiet glances, shared laughter, obviously anything equestrian, and the kind of memories that deserve to be remembered long after the day has passed. My style blends realism with expressive brushwork, allowing each piece to feel both personal and painterly.
I am currently a junior at MTSU, studying studio art. I have learned under many fabulous artists and cannot wait to learn from more to further my education and nurture my craft.
Live wedding painting also holds a special place in my heart. There is something incredibly meaningful about painting in real time. I absolutely adore watching a story unfold and turning it into a lasting work of art before the night is over. Its an honor to be invited into such an intimate moment.
When I am not painting, you’ll usually find me in the barn with horses, curled up with a good book, or spending quality time with my family: the places and people that keep me grounded and inspired
Thank you for being here and supporting my art. I would love to hear more from you!
